I discovered the the MotorsportMad site using StumbleUpon, a plug-in for IE and Firefox. I installed it just before the holidays just to see what it was, and it has turned out to be quite entertaining.
The idea of the product is that you tell it your interests, then you just click the "Stumble!" button in your browser and you get taken to a semi-random page in one of your designated categories. There are also provisions for bookmarking pages for the rest of the StumbleUpon community, and a mechanism to share links with friends. Now, I haven't randomly Web-browsed for entertainment's sake in quite a while, but this has been truly impressive - I'd say that I flag over 80 per cent of the pages I encounter as "I like it!" Perhaps this is because the current community of StumbleUpon users contributing pages is the geekiest, and therefore most discriminating.
It may seem complicated to have to install a plug-in (the process is quite easy) and create an account, but I've found some very useful information by using the product.
