No the Citation I saw didn't look this good, but it was an X11 in these colors. Can you believe an X-body is still running? These things were junk when they were new (sadly, this is an ironic reflection of today's news from GM). WFMY had a bunch of Citation 5-doors as news vehicles, and Joni's parents had a maroon 5-door Pontiac Phoenix.

I'd just been talking to Mike about how scarceness didn't lead to value in unloved cars. I saw a very low-mileage Thing on a Barrett-Jackson show that sold for a pitiful amount of money. The one I sighted in Costco Burbank was pale yellow.

Joni still refers to my "Green Maverick" example about visual template matching and cognition: You meet someone who has a green Ford Maverick, and over the next week you see another green Maverick - or more. Not so easy to do these days with a Maverick. This week's was a dark blue 2-door.

The '67 'Vette I saw this week in Burbank had an L-88 hood, but that hasn't meant there was a real L-88 under the hood since the early '70s. It was in this condition and color - no stripe.

I carry my camera everywhere so I'm going to start trying to get some shots of cars I see. Too bad I didn't have it with me a couple years ago when I pulled up at a light next to Joey Kramer, drummer for Aerosmith, in his Lambo. (He won.)
