Pretty cute, but really just a way of showing off unless you're making a lot of stuff all the time IMHO.
It's surprisingly easy to do most of that stuff with not much more than a bench grinder and a few hand files once you get used to it, particularly when working with nice thin-walled tubes of good quality steel.
It takes way longer to design proper joints and figure out the angles than it does to cut one or two examples of them. If you get to where you're producing dozens of copies of a single design, then I see the advantage.
